GENERAL CONDITIONS OF SALES AND USE - CGV - CGU


Prior information

These general conditions of sale are intended for the exclusive use of the reservation of stays in guest rooms at “Mas de la Martelière”. The customer and the owners undertake to respect these general conditions of sale as soon as the reservation is confirmed.

Article 1 – Duration of stay

The reservation by the customer is made for a fixed period. The customer may not under any circumstances claim any right to remain in the premises without the prior consent of the owner.


Minimum stay in July and August is 3 nights. For the other months, the minimum stay is 2 nights.
The owner may reserve the right to modify these.

Article 2 – Reservation and deposit

The reservation is made on the official website of Mas de la Martelière, by email, by telephone directly with the owners or through one of the reservation sites that offer our guest rooms.

The reservation is considered confirmed only after payment of a deposit which will be cashed upon receipt in the event of payment by check. It will be deducted from the total bill. The deposit must be paid no later than 5 working days from the date of the reservation request, either by transfer, or directly on our site, or by check. The amount of the deposit is 20% of the total price of the stay.

Article 3 – Cancellation by the customer

Any cancellation must be notified by registered letter or by email, addressed to the owners.

If the cancellation occurs more than 14 days before the start of the stay, the deposit will be returned to the customer.
If the cancellation occurs less than 14 days before the start of the stay, the deposit remains with the owners who reserve the right to claim the balance of the price of the reservation.
If the customer does not appear before 8 p.m. on the day scheduled for the start of the stay, this contract is canceled and the owners reserve the right to dispose of the guest rooms. The deposit remains with the owners who reserve the right to claim the balance of the price of the reservation.
In the event of a shortened stay, the price corresponding to the cost of accommodation remains fully acquired by the owner. The additional services consumed will be due to the owners.

Article 4 – Cancellation by the owner

When before the start of the stay, the owner cancels the reservation, for reasons beyond their control, they must inform the customer as soon as possible by telephone or email. The customer will be refunded immediately the total amount of the deposit paid.

Article 5 – Absence of withdrawal

For reservations made by mail, telephone or internet,
the tenant does not benefit from the withdrawal period and this in accordance with article L121-20-4 of the consumer code relating
in particular to the provision of accommodation services provided on a given date or according to a determined periodicity.

Article 6 - Time of arrival

The client must arrive on the day specified for the reservation between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. In case of late or deferred arrival, the customer must notify the owner preferably by telephone.

We do not accept arrivals after 9 p.m. between October 1 and April 30, after 10 p.m. between May 1 and September 30 and the owner reserves the right to no longer welcome the client after these times. This refusal can in no way be considered as a modification or a breach of the contract at the initiative of the owner, so that no refund can be considered.

Article 7 – Departure time

The customer must vacate the rooms by 11 a.m. at the latest. If the customer wishes to shift his departure time beyond this time, he must imperatively make the request to the owner who reserves the right to refuse. If possible, the request will be gladly accepted.

Article 8 – Payment of the balance

The balance of the accommodation is to be paid on arrival at the owner.
Consumption and additional services will be payable at the end of the stay to the owner.

Article 9 – Tourist tax

To the price of the stay is added a tourist tax collected by the host on behalf of the Community of Communes of the Pays de Sorgues Monts de Vaucluse which sets the amount. It is due per night and per adult.

Article 10 – Capacity

This contract is established for a specific number of people. If the number of customers exceeds the number of people specified when booking, the owner is able to refuse additional customers.

This refusal can in no way be considered as a modification or breach of the contract at the initiative of the owner, so that in the event of the departure of a number of customers greater than those refused, no refund can be considered.


Article 11 – Breakfasts

Breakfasts are served between 8.30 am and 10 am in the dining room or on the terrace.

Article 12 – Table d’hôtes

In order to be more available and continue to take care of the welcoming environment offered by the Mas de la Martelière, we will no longer offer the table d'hôtes from June 1, 2022. We can occasionally provide you with simpler meal solutions always made from local and seasonal products.

The supply on the markets and at the producers / traders requires that you reserve your dinner at the latest the day before before noon with the owner.

In case of food intolerance or special diet, the client must report it to the owner when booking the accommodation.

Article 13 – Children

In order to guarantee the tranquility of the place and the comfort of the guests, we only accept children from the age of 14. The attention of guests is drawn to the fact that minors living on the property are placed under the sole and entire responsibility of their parents or persons having authority over them.

If the day of arrival, the client arrives accompanied by a child under 14, the refusal to accept a child under 14 can in no way be considered as a modification or breach of the contract. owner's initiative. In case of departure of the customer, no refund can be considered.

Article 14 – Animals

Our animal friends are not allowed at Mas de la Martelière. If on the day of arrival, the client arrives accompanied by one or more animals, the refusal to accept the animals cannot be considered as a modification or breach of the contract at the initiative of the owner. In case of departure of the customer, no refund can be considered.

Article 15 – Use of premises

The customer must respect the peaceful character of the premises and make use of it in accordance with their destination. No meals can be taken or served in the rooms or at the swimming pool. All drinks or consumption must not be taken in the pool basin.
Please respect the tranquility of the place by avoiding any noise pollution in the rooms and in the outdoor areas.

The customer agrees to respect the etiquette instructions appearing in the rooms in the form of a digital booklet with QR code to scan and in these general conditions of sale. The client undertakes to return the rooms in perfect condition at the end of the stay. The customer will have to declare and assume financially any possible degradation for which he could be responsible.

The Mas de la Martelière is a non-smoking place, it is totally forbidden to smoke in the rooms and in all the interior common areas. It is tolerated to smoke outside insofar as it does not in any way disturb the other residents.

Article 16 – Use of the private swimming pool

The pool is freely accessible to customers from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Its use is subject to the responsibility of each,
and the roller shutter allowing it to be closed does not replace the precautions to be taken. Customers recognize
fully release the responsibility of the owner in the event of an accident occurring to themselves, their family or their friends.
In the event of an accident, no compensation can be or will be claimed by the reservee(s).
For safety and peace of mind, it is strictly forbidden to dive and run around the pool.


We kindly ask you not to use the white towels from the rooms for the swimming pool. Bath towels can be lent to you.

In the event of high winds greater than 40 km/h, and in order to avoid any risk of accidents, customers will not be able to use the parasols in the swimming pool area and these must remain closed until instructed by the owner.

Article 17 – Cleaning and maintenance

The cleaning or maintenance can be carried out every day by the owner, in the room or rooms that the customer occupies.
Towels and sheets can be changed every five days in the event of an extended stay. The owner will request it from the client

However, the health situation related to COVID-19 does not allow owners to currently provide daily maintenance.


Plastic waste must be thrown in the trash can if located in the rooms so that the owner can easily sort it.

Article 18 - insurance and liability

The Mas de la Martelière provides a safe for the client in each room. Therefore, the owners of the Mas cannot be held responsible in the event of theft or loss of goods or objects. The key can be given to you on request.
The customer must ensure the safekeeping of his goods and materials. The customer must inform the establishment of any degradation of which he is the cause. He is responsible for all damage caused by his intermediary and undertakes, in the event of deterioration of the premises made available (room, outdoor furniture, common areas such as swimming pool, garden, dining room) to have insurance covering the cost of restoration or, failing that, to bear the cost.

Article 19 – Data processing and freedoms

In accordance with the law of January 6, 1978, the customer has the right to access and rectify data concerning him. The owner undertakes not to transmit to other companies or organizations the information that the customer communicates to him.

These general conditions of sale are subject to change at any time without notice. Acceptance and compliance with these general conditions of sale are deemed acquired upon payment of the deposit for reservation.
